The Yale Early American History Seminar (or YEAH) brings together graduate students and faculty interested in early America to discuss current and emerging scholarship and further enhance our own work as historians and teachers of the period. Our meetings are also open to anyone interested in early American history.
We host student and faculty presentations of works-in-progress, present panel discussions of ideas and issues important to the study of early America, invite outside scholars to lecture on their research or on current developments in the field, explore means to enrich our teaching of early America, foster interdisciplinary approaches to early American scholarship, and encourage use of Yale’s extensive collections of early American materials.
Our Announcements page serves as the YEAH blog and we encourage you to subscribe to it via RSS to stay current as we publish updates on events and things of particular interest to the YEAH community throughout the year.
PAPER ACCESS: In order to access any pre-circulated papers via email you must be a member of the YEAH mailing list. To join the mailing list or request access to a specific paper, please email: zachary.conn[at]yale.edu.
